GSM Mercury (SKU OR033150) is OCEAN REEF’s digital, wireless ultrasonic communication unit. It blends long range, clear audio, dual-channel operation, and a fold-into-mask design for easy transport and use.

Purpose

Enable clear diver-to-diver and diver-to-surface communications in recreational, professional, public safety, and training scenarios, supporting also  hands-free communication when needed via DAT mode.

  • 6‑pin waterproof connector for hardwire to ALPHA PRO X DIVERS.
  • Interface-ready for VHF via separate surface interface kit and waterproof bag.
• Power: 9V alkaline battery only. User-replaceable. Observe polarity protection.
• Mounting: Compatible with all OCEAN REEF IDMs; optimized for Space/Neptune masks via NACS.
• Microphone: D‑Mic with hydrophobic membrane; designed to reduce exhalation bubble noise.
• User controls/indications: PTT transmit button; call/receive via wireless; full-duplex when hardwired.

Compatibility

GSM Mercury can be assembled on OCEANREEF full face masks with an Extender Frame and also on OTS, Interspiro AGA & Kirby Morgan M-48 MOD-1 full face masks using proper OCEANREEF adapters. GSM Mercury works with all OCEAN REEF UW wireless units and competitor units if they communicate on same channel.
